Print vs Digital
Digitalmarketingmagazine.co.uk
Moving from print to digital
Print has more a memorable and lesiurable experience as you fold the page corners to save your favorite articles, however when you read it you tuck it away and you forget about it.
The beauty of a digital publishing is that it makes it very easy to share your favorite articles to spark discussions on social networks that creates a much higher reader engagement, build community and access a wider audience.

Why are some magazines going back to print.
Paste is going back to print
People who have a digital magazine want to copy of the magazine they can hold in their hands.

Pros of print
Has a more memorable and lesuirable experience as you fold the pages to save your favorite articles. While the most artsy people tend to enjoy an old school book, its feeling smell, the tech savvy individuals are tending to choose digital. You won’t have to rely on the internet all the time because once you bought it,  you have it forever. You are more likely to invest more time into it because you have gone out of your way to buy it. Once you have bought it you can just read it instantly. Print is much easier to read.

Cons of Print
You will read it once and fold it and tuck it away and forget about it. It will wear and tear. In decline it can’t compete with rapid growth of digital.

Pros of digital
You can always access it. It will always be on your device. Most people go online anyway to look at the news so this would benefit lots of people. Easier to share with friends or family. It won’t have wear and tear. Once you have it, it won’t change. Cheaper than printing. You can see how long someone has been reading the magazine and what page they have spent the most time on. It’s convenient. Its instantly. Its eco-friendly.

Cons of digital
Not everyone has a device which they can access the newspaper on. People are paying their membership and they not getting anything extra from a print magazine.
You wouldn’t be able to access it all the time because you might not have any internet. You will just flick through and not really pay attention to what is actually in the magazine. You have to rely on your internet because you have to wait for it download. You have to zoom in and scroll.

Sound and the techniques

Sound is a powerful film technique, it can change how the audience see’s and interprets the image. Sound is the main part of a film, it can change a film. Sound can be used at the beginning of the film because it can paint a picture for everything that is going to happen. Sound is very important at the be

Mise en scene

Mise en scene is everything that is in the shot for example; costumes, characters, props, makeup. The arrangement of the scenery, props etc. On stage of a theatrical production or on the set of a film. The setting or surroundings of an event.

Diegetic and Non Diegetic

Non Diegetic sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in the action: narrators commentary. Sound effects which is added for the dramatic effect (mood music). Diegetic sound is where the audience and people in the camera can here the sound.

Suicide Squad

Use intense music to make the characters seem more strong and have more power. The music beats to the cuts of the scene. Every time it shows a different person it beats to the song. The scene is all about peoples strengths and ability’s and the music big’s them up. The audience will find this scene quite intense and enjoyable to watch. The song just plays instruments when the characters are talking, and when its silent the song starts singing to make it more enjoyable to watch.

Rogue One

Use classical Star Wars music at the end to create a sence of nostalgia for the audience. When Darth Vader returns he has his own theme tune to create a dramatic effect for the audience. When the spaceship manages to escape from Darth Vader, it has a close up of his face and when this happens the classic Star Wars theme tune goes high pitch to create a sign of relief because they have escaped from him.

Parent Trap

Music is quiet and gentle to create a dreary scene, to make the audience feel like they are one of the twins. You can hear birds tweeting to create a sleepy effect. The music at the beginning really sets the scene of a wedding on a boat, the sounds make it seem luxurious and very relaxed. The song really goes with this film because the song is about love and every small clip cuts at a certain time to be in time with the song

Star Wars The Force Awakens

The trailer starts with a high pitch sound to create a sense of mystery. The high notes last about 20 seconds and then they get high and then dialogue comes into place. The high notes get quieter. Every high note appears when the scene changes to create a drama effect and to make the audience fell mischievous.  A theme tune gets played whilst showing one of the main characters this is to make the audience feel on the edge of their seat. Every piece of music and sound gets quieter when the characters speak to focus on what they are saying. Action scenes get played so the music gets faster and louder to contrast the scene. The high notes come back to make the audience feel excited and nervous to feel nostalgia again. The music sounds like a historic sound track to make the audience feel intense whilst watching the trailer. At the end of the trailer the classic Star Wars theme tune is played to make the audience fell nostalgic and excited for the film.

The Godfather

The Godfather

When the scene first starts there is a low key lighting to make the man more menacing. You can barely see the man’s eyes which creates a sinister look. There is 2 men in a small room and it looks like they are having a serious conversation. The props and everything in the room is old and mahogany. It’s quite silent the scene, no music, no interruptions just 2 men having a conversation. The 2 men are dressed in suits which might show that they have a bit of class 2 them and that they are not some weird old men. Half way through the clip it jumps to a complete different location, a bright street, many people, lots of sound and the man enjoying himself with his family. This shows the viewers that the man might have 2 sides to him and he has an innocent side.

Film Production

Mise en scene - Pyscho

The mes in this scene is eary and quite suspicious. The clip was in black and white which shows its an old movie. The clip is 10 minutes long and there is not really much dialogue, I would say most of the time its silent to set the scene and create a dramatic effect. The scene starts with a young woman looking out of a window at what looks like a dark and dusky house to create a sense of mystery. The weather outside is cloudy and grey to set the scene. The women seems on edge, as if someone is watching her. The man starts talking to the woman and he sounds like quite a serious man. The room that there sitting in is quiet un ordinary because it has birds hanging of the wall and candles which shows the viewer that this is a old clip.  Most of the clip is in a medium shot of the man and women having a conversation. The man strokes his stuffed animal to show a sign of strangeness and to make the viewer think he is weird.
